Corps PerformancesThe Midnight Riders Fife and Drum Corps performs in parades, concerts, living history presentations and extended regional tours, to both domestic and international audiences throughout the course of a year. The members of the Corps are committed individuals, with real life obligations, who manage to balance weekly sectionals, rehearsals and fifty to sixty appearances a season. The researched music, uniforms and marching maneuvers deliver an accurate and unique presentation of American History. The Corps features musicians who execute programs that are tailored to your specific needs. marital and social music for the ConcertsDuties of the Fifes and Drums - This program consolidates all of the daily customs required of 18th century fifers and drummer. Reveille Ceremony- In an 18th Century military camp the Reveille Ceremony would have been the first ritual of the day. Troops were to be ready to stand inspection before the "field musick" finished this formal affair. Retreat Ceremony - The Retreat Ceremony was beat to signal soldiers that all Military Colours were retired from the field, and to remain in their quarters until the reveille was sounded. Incidental Music- Included in this program is an assortment of recognizable tunes accompanied by an explanation of their historical meaning.
